About Me
Hi! My name is Callie Sprague, or Ms. Callie. I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts, where I lived with my parents and my brother and sister. After high school, I attended Providence College in Rhode Island. There, I earned my bachelor's degree in Marketing. After college, I worked for a human services agency in Boston where I worked with adults who have disabilities. Though I loved the work that I did there, I knew that I really wanted to work with children. When I decided to go back to school to become a teacher, I moved to San Diego to get my teaching credential and my Master's Degree in Education from the University of San Diego.
Outside of school, I love spending time outdoors. I like to hike, go camping, swim, ride my bike, kayak, and run. I also enjoy cooking, reading, doing yoga, and spending time with my wonderful friends and family. I have a passion for traveling and exploring the world, as well. While I was in college, I studied at the University of Granada in Spain, and I have also traveled through parts of Europe, South America, Northern Africa, and the United States. I love to learn about languages, cultures, people, and history!
I am thrilled to be starting my sixth year teaching at HTMCV. I look forward to growing and learning with my students and having an amazing year together!
